Privacy Policy - Festivalcadeau

Intersolve and Festivalcadeau consider the careful use of personal data important. On this page, we inform you about what data we collect when you use our website and/or use our services and products. We also explain why we collect this data and how we use it to improve the user experience.

If you have any questions that are not answered in this Privacy Statement, if you have suggestions or comments about the content of the statement, or if you have complaints about how your personal data is handled, you can let us know via email.

1. Privacy Statement

We only use your personal data to fulfill an agreement made with you. Additionally, we would like to use your personal data to keep you informed of new services or products offered by Intersolve or Festivalcadeau. If you no longer wish to receive this information, you can let us know via email. We will stop sending marketing information immediately upon receipt of your request.

The personal data we may process includes:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • Email address
  • Phone number

We ensure that all reasonable technical and organizational measures are taken to protect the personal data you have provided and stored against unlawful use.

You always have the right to ask us what personal data we process about you. We offer visitors the opportunity to view, change, or delete all personal information that has been provided to us.

You can submit a request to access, change, transfer data, or delete your personal data, or request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data via email. We will make the changes as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks, or explain to you why your requests cannot (yet) be carried out.

If you believe that the way we use your personal data is not consistent with the purposes for which you provided it or deviates from this Privacy Statement, you can report this via the contact form.

We would like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We do not provide personal data to third parties unless required by a legal obligation or necessary to execute an agreement that Festivalcadeau has entered into with you.

2. IP Address

Festivalcadeau can obtain your email address in various ways, for example, when you request information via our website. Additionally, anonymous data may be obtained that is linked to your Internet Protocol address (IP address). When you request a web page, it is necessary for the web server to know where the page should be sent. For this, your IP address is used. This is a sequence of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer by your internet provider each time you log on to the internet, so your computer can be identified. It is not possible for us to identify you solely based on your IP address, unless you have provided it to us yourself. We can only determine that the receiving computer is located in a certain part of the country. The information linked to the IP address, such as search queries and websites visited, therefore, cannot, in principle, be traced back to you. This anonymous data can give us an idea of the behavior and interests of people who visit our websites.

3. Cookies

We also use so-called cookies to better align our websites, products, and services with your wishes and preferences. A cookie is a small, simple file that is sent along with pages of this website (and/or Flash applications) and stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Festivalcadeau only uses functional cookies for consumers. For business visitors, tracking cookies are also used based on the IP address. The information stored in them can be sent back to our servers during a subsequent visit. An example: when you fill out a registration form to participate in an event, you need to provide your details. To speed up this registration process, we can place a cookie on your computer’s hard drive. When you visit our website next time, it recognizes you as a customer. In that case, you do not need to enter the required details again. Of course, we will not use the information obtained from cookies to personally identify you. If you do not want cookies, you can indicate this during your first visit to the website. If you do not accept the cookies, this may affect the functioning of the website. Alternatively, you can regularly delete the cookies stored on your computer.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to study the habits, preferences, and user behavior of our visitors. This allows us to better tailor our websites to the target audience and better meet user demand. Thanks to Google Analytics, it can be tracked how often a certain item is clicked on and which pages on the website perform well or can be improved.

A cookie from the American company Google is placed on our website as part of the ‘Analytics’ service. We use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence over this.

The information collected by Google is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not provided. The information is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google states that it adheres to the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. This means that an adequate level of protection is provided for the processing of any personal data.

5. Social Media

Our website includes buttons to promote or share certain web pages on social networks like Facebook and Instagram. These buttons work through pieces of code that originate from Facebook and Twitter themselves. Through this code, cookies are placed. We have no influence on this.
